I'm at work right now, so I've gotta mke this short.

Thought I'd make a new journal entry because it's been a while.

I'm all moved in to my HUGE dorm (i might be exagerating, but it is bigger than i thought it would be). I still have a lot of cleaning up to do. I want my room to be presentable, not like the mess it was last year.

Orientation leader training was fun. We had a retreat for a weekend at Cal State Heyword (spelling?). That was fun. We did some problem solving stuff and then went on a "ropes course". That was a blast! 25 feet from the ground walking on wires and climing shit. It brought us all (the student life staff) together. Good times. I had to come back to school three weeks early for all this stuff though. I'm not sure if I'll do it again next year.

Orientation week was crazy. I had the busiest day of my life that week. Lots of parents who made my job harder than it needed to be. Lots of good people to make it better, though.

Went to an A's vs. Devil Rays game last weekend. Best fireworks show EVER. I was explaining baseball to some of the Chinese students. I like doing that kind of stuff.

Not much to report in the way of art. Made two new songs that differ greatly from the orchestral stuff you're used to if you're familiar with my other stuff. This stuff (how many more times can i say "stuff"? i mean really!) has drum loops instead of written-out melodies. The first song, called "sub zero", was made with loops that i downloaded. The second one, "jet", was made from loops i made myself with downloaded sound patches.

I'm working on another song, too. After the first half hour of working on it, i realized it was ska. That's cool, cuz i've never worked with lyrics before. I want to upload it somewhere when it's done. Here's the first verse and chorus:

As for me, I favor sleeping in.
